BiBP Research and Development Center – Innovation and the Future of Bag-in-Box Packaging

Our Research and Development Centre is the heart of our innovation activities, which since 2017 has focused on the improvement and development of Bag in Box packaging. We are a team of experienced engineers, technologists and specialists who work every day on new technological solutions to meet the current and future needs of the market.

Our goal is to continuously improve the quality of our packaging, develop innovative products and support our customers in the effective implementation of our solutions in their production and logistics processes. We always take environmental aspects into account and strive to create environmentally friendly packaging that meets the highest European standards.

Main areas of our research and development activities

We create new products and packaging concepts:

We design bags tailored to various industries, such as food, beverages, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. We pay particular attention to products designed for packaging difficult liquids, including those with high viscosity, which require non-standard application solutions.

We implement innovative quality control methods:

We have developed advanced monitoring systems that detect even the smallest non-conformities and eliminate them immediately, ensuring the repeatability and highest quality of our products.

We provide technological support and consulting:

We help customers who are starting production using Bag in Box bags – from the selection of appropriate materials, through the configuration of production lines, to support in solving technological and logistical problems.

We optimise production processes:

We introduce improvements to increase production efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

We work on environmentally friendly materials:

We are constantly developing recyclable films and reducing the proportion of materials that are difficult to sort. We strive to replace multi-material and metallised films with more environmentally friendly compositions that retain the required barrier properties and strength.

Our most important achievements

From the very beginning, we have focused on minimising our impact on the environment. Our activities are guided by the principles of the circular economy (CE). We are working on:
• the development of packaging that facilitates recycling,
• reducing raw materials that are difficult to sort,
• implementation of materials and technologies compliant with European regulations
• continuous search for environmentally friendly alternatives to multi-material films.
We supply valves that are fully compliant with the requirements of the PPWR directive.

01.

220-litre bags:

We are the only company in Poland to have created a complete solution — from design and production to sales and distribution. Thanks to cooperation with the best suppliers and the introduction of rigorous quality control methods, we have stabilised the production process, delivering products with high parameter repeatability. These bags are available in four variants: high barrier, standard, transparent for hot filling and special for freezing.

02.

Deep-freeze bags:

We have developed specialised bags for filling and storing milk, egg mixtures and food concentrates, which can withstand temperatures down to -33°C. We offer them in capacities ranging from 5 to 220 litres, meeting even the most demanding applications.

03.

Ultra Clean technology:

We have created a modern production line that allows us to manufacture bags with an increased level of cleanliness, necessary for the aseptic filling of food and pharmaceutical products. Radiation sterilisation plays a key role, guaranteeing the highest standards of microbiological safety.

Our plans

We aim to continue improving our production processes and introducing innovative solutions.

Environmentally friendly materials

With care for the natural environment, we are developing materials that are recyclable while reducing the use of those that cannot be separated for recycling. We aim to replace multi-material and metallised films with alternative film structures that offer comparable mechanical properties.
